Our Story

Brian’s was established over 44 years ago in 1974. In August of 1985, the restaurant was bought by Ronnie Wells and has been under his ownership for the last 33 years. Brian’s has a knack for making their customers feel right at home. There are two well-known traits that the restaurant lives by: great service and quality food.

After all, Brian’s is “more than just a steak house.” Open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, our main dining room can accommodate up to 120 people, while our banquet room can accommodate 140 people. We also provide off-premise catering for weddings, company picnics, family reunions, and birthday parties. Big or small, Brian’s does them all.

A.B.C. privileges are available along with a fabulous wine list. Although we favor steaks, seafood, chicken, and pork, our house specialty is prime rib. Our menu includes homemade soups, salads, and our famous chicken salad, which can be purchased by the pound. Our homemade vegetable beef soup is also a take-out favorite here in South Hill. But no matter what your taste buds crave, here at Brian’s we can satisfy them all!

I had the crab meat stuffed shrimp with green beans and mashed potatoes. I'm a south Louisiana boy, so I know my seafood and it was delicious. The hot fudge cake was very good also. I usually don't give 5 stars, but I made an exception for this place.

Family owned. Great food. Great service. You will be treated like family. Try the cheeseburger, I cannot do better at home. Excellent!

Stopped in on our way through town. So much better than the fast food options in South Hill. Steaks were flavorful while not over-seasoned. Staff were friendly and attentive. Will definitely stop in the next time I'm driving through South Hill.

Our first time dining here was outstanding. Lucretia was a fantastic server. The seafood platter was to die for, and the stewed tomatoes with black eyed peas was a new dish for us, but we’ll certainly order it when we return. Five stars!

I eat here for many meals with local clubs and organizations as well as individually and I am a very picky eater with diet restrictions. Ronnie and Carleen and staff accommodate my every special order. They even know what I don't like to eat. I can't say enough good things about them as a business and as community people. You just have to stop by and see for yourself.

We eat here regularly & the food is always great! I also order often for catering orders; Ronnie & Carleen always go above & beyond! Highly recommended them for both eating in & catering!
